Introduction

Here begins a new blog.

This summer I'm taking 3 college courses to finish up my undergrad in music, one of which is Spiritual Formation. The books I will be reading during this course are Richard J. Foster's Celebration of Discipline, as well as his Streams of Living Water, John Ortberg's The Life You've Always Wanted: Spiritual Disciplines for Ordinary People, and The Spirit of the Disciplines by Dallas Willard.

The bulk of the assignments that partner these books consists of mainly "journaling," and while I'm good at journaling, I'm better at blogging. Some of (if not most of) my posts aren't going to be objective book "reviews," but rather what I'm drawing personally from each book. For example, each chapter in Celebration of Discipline or The Life You've Always Wanted features a discipline (meditation, fasting, service, confession, etc.) and I'll be practicing each of them and reflecting.

So, yada yada yada. Let's get to the good stuff...
